The partners at Hankin & Mazel, PLLC have been representing cooperative and condominium boards for over 25 years. Our clients range from some of the largest complexes in the New York Metropolitan area to small buildings. Despite the size of the cooperative or condominium, we provide the same personalized, quality legal services. Our partners, Mark Hankin, Esq. and Geoffrey Mazel, Esq., have both served on Boards of Cooperative Corporations, which gives them insight into the role of Board of Directors and a great understand of their needs.

Our attorney’s incorporate practical advice to Boards of Directors regarding common problems, protection against potential liability, dispute resolution, contract negotiations, labor law representation, and litigation services. We maintain a full service transfer department for sales and purchases, and a full-time default and landlord/tenant law department to streamline collection of arrears.

In addition, the partners’ are active in legislative issues involving cooperatives and condominiums.  We are Legal Counsel to the Presidents Council of Cooperatives & Condominiums, an organization which advocates for Coop/Condo owners and represents over 75,000 units of housing.  We have also have published numerous articles and frequently lecture before both members of the Bar and Coop/Condo Board members.  Finally, we are extremely proud of our appointment as Co-Chairman of the Cooperative/Condominium Committee of the Queens County Bar Association.
